Introduction of Standard, Plus, Prime Classification
The new Standard, Plus, Prime flat classification framework, which is based on each project’s locational attributes, kicks in from October 2024 BTO. Plus and Prime flats will have tighter sales conditions, subsidy clawback upon resale, and a longer occupation period (MOP).
Where are the Prime BTO Project?
The first Prime project - Crawford Heights - is located in Kallang Whampoa, within walking distance to Lavender MRT Station.
This Prime project will also pilot the new ‘white flats’ layout. It has a total of 312 units, with 3-room and 4-room flat types.
Where is the Plus BTO Project?
There are 7 plus projects, with a total of 3,273 units offered. These projects are located in Kallang Whampoa, Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, and Geylang.
Where is the Standard BTO Project?
There are 7 standard projects, with a total of 4,988 units offered. These projects are located in Bukit Batok, Jurong West, Pasir Ris, Sengkang, and Woodlands.
These projects have waiting periods of less than 3 years (Bukit Batok, Sengkang).
More Options for Single Home Buyers
Singles now can apply for 2-room flexi flats in any location across the three categories. Previously, singles were limited to applying for projects in non-mature estates. Under the PLH framework, singles were not allowed to apply for Prime location flats.
For resale flats, singles can also buy any room type (except 3 GEN) from Standard and Plus categories, or 2-room Prime flats.
First Batch of Public Housing Flats at New Bayshore Estate
Bayshore Vista and Bayshore Palms in Bedok will offer 1,444 flats in the October 2024 BTO exercise. This is part of the new waterfront neighbourhood, which aims to inject 10,000 new (private and public) homes into the area.
For resale flats, singles can also buy any room type (except 3-GEN) from Standard and Plus categories, or 2-room Prime flats.
